Cerium oxide is the classic polish for glass, and it also works well on quartz and agate. Use it as the final step for a bright finish on tumbled glass, or as an alternative to aluminum oxide on quartz-family stones.
For certain stones and materials, including glass, quartz and agate, cerium oxide delivers superior results to aluminum oxide polish, producing a clearer, brighter shine.
Available in three sizes:
- 2 ounce
- 4 ounce
- 7 ounce
How to use:
- Use about 2 tablespoons per pound of material in a rotary tumbler.
- Run with plastic pellets to cushion the load.
- Clean the barrel thoroughly before the polish step. A single grain of coarse grit can haze the batch.
